Tiger Woods apparently has “not figured it out” yet, whether in reference to his swing or his past. So far, he’s 4-over-par after 10 holes today in the first round of the U.S. Open. It’s looking more and more that the old Tiger — the Tiger that the other players feared because Tiger was fearless and exceptionally talented — is gone forever. How well the “new” Tiger will do on the course and in life, it’s anybody’s guess. Stay tuned for those interested in Tiger Woods’ journey including the struggles he continues to have.

Through 7 holes, he’s not even close to being a contender. His demeanor is solemn; his ball-striking mediocre at best. Unless Tiger takes the same path as Phoenix, thrusting himself from the ashes back to the forefront, his legendary status will be cemented for what he has accomplished in the past not what he does now and in the future.
